COLON HYDROTHERAPY
A natural and gentle cleanse to improve digestion, support gut health, and flush out toxins.
WHAT IS COLON HYDROTHERAPY?
The colon plays a key role in digestion and overall health, helping the body process waste and absorb nutrients. When waste builds up, it can contribute to bloating, sluggish digestion, and discomfort.
Colon hydrotherapy, also known as a colonic or colon cleansing, is a gentle and effective way to cleanse the large intestine using warm, gravity-fed water. This process flushes out waste and toxins, promoting better gut health and regularity.
At HydroLight Lounge, we use the Angel of Water® open system, an FDA-approved method designed for comfort and ease. A colonic involves the safe, gentle infusion of warm, purified water into the colon via the rectum. The process is completely natural, with no chemicals or drugs involved.
You’ll have privacy throughout your 45-minute session, and our certified colon hydrotherapist will be there to provide guidance and check in on you as needed, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

A colonic isn’t for everyone. If you have certain medical conditions, it may not be recommended. Additionally, we advise waiting at least three months after a colonoscopy unless you have medical clearance from your doctor. Check out the full list of contraindications here. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask our team or consult your doctor.
-
Avoid nuts, dairy, beans, alcohol, and carbonated beverages for 24 hours before your appointment, and skip heavy meals at least two hours beforehand. Staying hydrated is key, so drink plenty of water the day before and leading up to your session.

An enema clears the lower 3-5 inches of the colon and can be done at home, while a colonic is performed by a licensed colon hydrotherapist and can cleanse the entire colon. One colon irrigation is equivalent to 30 enemas.

Everyone’s needs are different. Many clients feel lighter after one session, but a series of 2-3 sessions is often recommended for a more thorough cleanse. Your therapist will discuss your goals and recommend a plan tailored to you.
